Blaming Innocence - Chapter 3

In this chapter of Blaming Innocence, things start to go really wrong for Gemma. But what's gonna go wrong? Read on to find out...
Warning: Strong language

Walking back into the dining room, I saw Rosy whispering something to Cinnamon. I couldn't exactly make out what they were saying, but it was something along the lines of:
"Hey, guess what? Did you hear that the little stuck up scholarship girl has been totally sucking up to Chester?"
I stood trembling as I saw them, and I rushed outside to the playground to get away from the gossiping bitches.

I sat outside in the setting sun, pushing myself moodily around on the small red seat.

And then The Siamese Bitches (as I'd decided to name them) came and stood in front of me.

"Hey, Rosy, look, it's the sad nerd!" Cinnamon giggled.
"Yeah, like, ew!" Rosy laughed back.

"Hey, nerd, what's up? What are you doing? Swinging?" Rosy hissed.
"Yeah, like, you're such a loner!" Cinnamon laughed.
"Ew!" Rosy giggled. "Scholarship girl, loner, nerd, boring idiot... There are, like, a million things to call you! I wish that you didn't, like, have to come here. Because you're obviously here to live off the school's wealth!"
I couldn't stand they're american accents and they're snobbish giggles anymore, and with tears coming into my eyes, I ran back into the school to the girls' bathrooms.

I brushed my teeth, wincing at the incredibly minty taste, hating myself for being such a coward. Thinking about it, I could've easily snubbed or dissed them. The one that would've really put them on the spot would've been the 'look who's talking' diss! But, of course, I was me and ran away. Fuck it, I was such a coward! I bit down hard on my tooth brush and broke it in two.
  "Shit," I muttered.

A few minutes later, I had loosened my hair and changed into my pajama's and climbed into the small bed.

As I climbed under the soft duvet, my mind raced past my first day of school. In short, it had been the most horrible day ever. Apart from my short encounter with Chester, everyone else had been mean to me. I wasn't exactly looking forward to the next day either (understatement of the century!) - but I was looking forward to a good sleep.

I was up early the next morning, standing at the stove, trying to make batch of waffles to get on good terms with at least Raymond and the teachers. There was no way that I would ever be able to get on good terms with Rosy and Cinnamon, I knew that, but I did hope that there was a good chance with the others.

I had about ten minutes before the waffles were finished, so I went back to my room to get changed.

Back in the kitchen, I started to make another batch of waffles. I wasn't sure exactly how may people there were in the school, but I figured that it would be near fifty pupils and teachers together, and so I'd need enough waffles for everyone.

Chester stepped into the kitchen then, and smiled at me and said 'hey' like he'd said before. I rolled my eyes at him and replied 'hello' back at him.
"What's for breakfast, early bird?" he asked.
"Waffles for everyone," I replied, as chipper as I could manage.

"They look nice," Chester commented as I took out the waffles from the oven and put them on a plate.

  And they did look nice.

"So you had a fight with those girls and then you made waffles?" Inspector Shaw said, starting to get impatient.
"Well, it did start with the waffles, I think. That's why I was accused in the first place," I replied.
  "Continue."
  And I did.
