Lost and Found - Chapter 1

River Paystone held her daughter, Juliet, close to her chest. She could feel the slight hammering of the little girl's heart. The move from Sunset Valley to Bridgeport must have been traumatising for the little thing. She cast a quick glance to her husband, Kyle, who stood holding her other daughter, Charity. They were twins.

  "Let's go," Kyle said, excited. River sighed as she starting walking inside. 

  "Don't get too excited, the office wouldn't let me get anything special," River warned him.

  "Don't sweat it, hun," Kyle replied, laughing.

They went into the lift. River thought about the past few years as there was a high-pitched beep and the doors closed. 

She had married Kyle when she was twenty, and now, two years later, they had two children and the only one with a respectable job was her. Kyle had had great ambitions when he was young. Now, all he was was a pathetic excuse for a writer. After all, it wasn't through any of his abilities that they were now in the most populair place of Sim'nEarth. Bridgeport... What a beautiful name.

Kyle was the first to walk through the door of the Paystone's new apartment. He chuckled as he admired the tiled floor and the red kitchen. It was beautiful. He'd also catched a glimpse of a hot tub and a pool outside. He was going to love it here!

River and Kyle put their daughters to sleep in a small but beautifully styled nursery. They'd like it there.

 They went to the living room and sat down on the plush blue sofa.
  "Beautiful, isn't it?" Kyle said.
  "Yes, and not because of you," River snapped back.
  "What's that supposed to mean?" Kyle gasped, taken aback.
  "It means that I've been working my butt off and you don't even thank me! Geez!" River said, angry.

 River stood up, a scowl on her normally perfect features.
  "Excuse me!" Kyle hissed, and stood up too.

 They faced eachother, angry.
  "You know perfectly well I do all I can for you and this family," Kyle hissed.
  "If you did we'd be far better off!"
  "Better off than this? God, you are such a selfish snob sometimes!"

But soon after, they were back in eachothers arms, apologising which led to a kiss. As always.
