The family had lived in Bridgeport now for nearly a year. It was the day before the twins' second birthday and River had just gotten a promotion. To celebrate, she invited her boss, Simon Suns, and a few colleagues around for a small gathering. Kyle had left early to go to a meeting for 'Aspiring Writers'. To River, this was a complete waste of time and she had complained about him to her boss.
"Just forget about him," Simon said.
"Why?" River enquired, confused.
"Because I'm going to kiss you," Simon replied, and smiled.
He was shocked when River leaned forward and pressed her own lips against his first. However, he didn't mind and they made out for a few minutes. Just then, Kyle opened the door to the apartment.
When he saw them, he gasped and covered his eyes, hoping it was just a dream. But when he opened them again, he saw the shocked faces of his wife and her boss, who had a bit of lipstick around his mouth.
Glaring at them, he made his decision. He stalked towards the nursery, shouting over his shoulder;
"The divorce papers will be here tomorrow. I'm leaving!"
"What?! You can't just leave!" River cried. "And you can't take my babies from me!"
Kyle ignored her pleas and yells of frustration and grabbed the daughter whom lay closest to him, Charity. He knew it would probably be illegal, but he couldn't bare to leave both of his daughters to a fate with his (soon to be) ex-wife.
Kyle sniffed the rose-shampoo in Charity's hair and looked at the red kitchen.
"Goodbye," he mumbled and rushed out of the apartment.
He stood outside the large apartment which had been his home for a year, and hailed a taxi. The taxi driver, a middle-aged man trying to earn his keep, wondered why a father would be outside with his daughter at this time of night, hesitated for a moment, but then pulled over. He needed the money and it wasn't in his nature to throw it away.
"Where to, sir?" the taxi-driver asked.
"The underground, please," Kyle replied through gritted teeth.
When he was standing infront of the glass double-doors to the underground, a small pitch of doubt took over him. He pushed it away, telling himself he'd stay in a hotel until he got his bearings and the divorce was final.
"Where we going, dada?" Charity asked.
"Away from here, honey. Away from here," Kyle replied.
Back at the apartment Juliet lay in a peaceful slumber oblivious to the events that had just happened.
She didn't know there had once been an occupant of the crib opposite her. And as the sun set over the high-rise apartments in Bridgeport, as did the sun set over the Paystone family.
That was the second chapter of Lost and Found - I hoped you liked it! NB: This is a different version to the one on the sims 3 website because that one got deleted for some reason or another. Personally I liked this one better. Especially the end. Thanks for reading!
